IT’S FRIDAY So my campaign It’s Friday is rea IT’S FRIDAY So my campaign It’s Friday is really working for me. For those of you who don’t know every Friday, I make a conscious decision to take a break from social media. It was super scary to start with but finally I’ve relaxed and can actually enjoy a social media two day break. I’ve often still got scheduled posts appearing on Saturday and Sunday but I no longer check my account at the weekend. There’s a huge fear of missing out I know, and I suffer from this like crazy too, but by being brave and taking the plunge and have discovered I don’t actually lose any of my followers just because I’ve taken the weekend off. I believe in this really hectic world we all need a break and we all need to recharge our batteries. Plus the weekend is family time or me time, walking, talking, having fun time. As always I will be back and fully charged on Monday! I hope you are doing it too? I made these two little love hearts out of tut at I made these two little love hearts out of tut at my friends farm. She won’t mind me calling it such 😂. I do love making things out of nothing and without any bending the metal formed these hearts. Excuse the big lumps of glue !! Anyway I thought would share as I know some of you are thinking of getting married but unsure what to do and where to do it and like these hearts I don’t think we need to over bend or make something into something it shouldn’t be. I do love an IKEA kallax unit !! And as I’ve men I do love an IKEA kallax unit !! And as I’ve mentioned before I do love a bit of interior styling inbetween work. It’s really my form of relaxation. I’ve been experimenting with the kallax units as a sideboard and putting two together back to back to create a work table for all our art stuff. It’s working pretty well. And you can even use them to sit on. The Roadmap back to normality in photography terms The Roadmap back to normality in photography terms. Anxious to get some family shoots/branding or wedding booked? Here’s how things stand right now. I am waiting for my covid19 vaccine and can’t wait to get back to being a photographer. Just so you know I can do outdoor shoots from April 12th with families up to 5 (I am the 6th person) but until I am vaccinated I won’t be doing home shoots or studio shoots. Just trying to stay as safe as possible. However in meantime I also offer Gift Vouchers so if you want to surprise a member of your family with one for Mother’s Day or Easter let me know. The bluebell woods will be in bloom late April, early May so would make a beautiful backdrop. And I can’t take any credit for this beautiful sketch except for copying it from the incredible book by Charlie Mackesy ! I’ve found a beautiful way back into painting by copying his sketches setting a time limit of ten mins maximum. I always loved black ink and water colour combined and was always my favourite medium at art school @central_st_martins and when travelling abroad. It’s got my mojo back so who knows. I do have an idea to paint our hamster, cat and fish in the same sort of loose style ! I’ve been a bit slow to meet the maker #marchmee I’ve been a bit slow to meet the maker #marchmeetthemaker ⭐️. Bear with me ! And excuse the poor selfie on my ancient phone. Upgrade required. However here I am at last to the party. 🥳 Like many people I’ve branched out during covid but normally I am a wedding/portrait and branding photographer. However now I publish two e magazines , the first @thevirtualweddingco supporting the wedding industry and the second @popupbazaarberko supporting local small businesses. When I’m not teaching art and English to Japanese kiddies in Hiroshima (all new too!) I love painting/drawing, walking in my regatta boots which I’ve not taken off since lockdown, 😂 seriously ! And I love interior design. I’ve recently gone Crittal mad 🤣🤩 and nothing is safe from my plumbers tape (the cheat method) I know lots of you have also branched out since lockdown first began and I do (without cliche) reckon this has also been a very innovative time for most of us. For instance my cooking skills and gardening skills no know bounds now (they do😂) and our pets including fish, hamster and cat have been very over loved, they look forward to us going out for peace and quiet ! Looking forward to lots of post lockdown hugs once things ease and roll on vaccine for all of us still waiting too. It’s been a roller coaster year but my friends and family have kept me going. IT’S FRIDAY So my campaign It’s Friday is rea IT’S FRIDAY So my campaign It’s Friday is really working for me. For those of you who don’t know every Friday, I make a conscious decision to take a break from social media. It was super scary to start with but finally I’ve relaxed and can actually enjoy a social media two day break. I’ve often still got scheduled posts appearing on Saturday and Sunday but I no longer check my account at the weekend. There’s a huge fear of missing out I know, and I suffer from this like crazy too, but by being brave and taking the plunge and have discovered I don’t actually lose any of my followers just because I’ve taken the weekend off. I believe in this really hectic world we all need a break and we all need to recharge our batteries. Plus the weekend is family time or me time, walking, talking, having fun time. As always I will be back and fully charged on Monday! I hope you are doing it too? The RoadMap back to normality for my photography.! The RoadMap back to normality for my photography.! I am waiting for my covid19 vaccine and can’t wait to get back to being a photographer. Just so you know I can do outdoor shoots from April 12th with families up to 5 (I am the 6th person) so if you want to book me let me know. Until I get my vaccine shoots will remain outdoor but not long to go! I also offer Gift Vouchers so if you want to surprise a member of your family with one for Mother’s Day or Easter let me know.
