I come from a creative arts background therefore my style is artistic, dramatic and sensitive. I love natural light where possible, although of course will bring my flash to compensate on sunny days, but as much as possible I like soft lighting. I actually like the challenge of difficult lighting believe it or not and is a passion of mine . Overall I consider myself a guest at your wedding, who unobtrusively flits about unnoticed and captures all those little magical moments which you will be completely unaware of until you see my photos! A fly on the wall approach best describes me – oh and natural – did I mention as natural as possible…. if you are interested please email me email@example.com or text me 07951943101 and let me know your proposed wedding date and venue.
The most beautiful venue West Lodge Park with its own arboretum (that’s a fab botanical tree park !) tucked away in Hadley Wood Hertfordshire. This couple were rather unique in that they had been together for 37 years already and were just gearing up to get married, with all their friends and grown up sons and little grandchild present which made it all rather wonderful. The speeches were definitely the funniest heard in ages too. Really enjoyed the setting, the venue, the lovely people and of course the bride and groom themselves. Here’s a couple of sneaky peak photos with more to come of course once the final edit is complete.
I am photographing Hannah & Steve’s wedding this November at Latimer House and our engagement shoot was a great chance to meet them and get to know them a little more. The day of their shoot was their five year anniversary which made it more cute. They decided not to bring their year old doberman along , Apollo – I can only say was slightly relieved when found out he is very bouncy and enthusiastic (ha ha) Anyway this lovely couple were a joy to shoot – very natural, we even incorporated them drinking with their coffee cups and going for a walk which is apparently what they do a lot. Steve’s not the biggest fan of dressing up so he opted for fluorescent shoes and shorts – thanks Steve (just kidding) but everything about this couple meant I knew this shoot would be easy to reflect their fun personalities. They are really a couple of softies very much in love and looking forward to their wedding day. Here’s just a few of their engagement shoot photos to share….
I had the most fantastic day yesterday for this lovely couple’s wedding at one of my favourite venue’s Coltsfoot Country Retreat.
Everything went perfectly, from the getting ready photos at home (which was sort of déjà vu as photographed the bride’s sister here a few years earlier) to the lovely ceremony itself in the St Michael’s Catholic Church and then on to the gorgeous setting of the barn in Knebworth. Simply stunning backdrop – a rural, rustic chic barn, with a Mediterranean feel. And all with the added bonus of a million alpacas roaming around the English countryside. I love this couple and this venue and had a ball photographing in all the different areas on offer, from brick walls, to countryside, farm animals, barns, fields – all totally fabulous if you are a photographer and if you are a bride and groom contemplating something a little different for your venue……. here’s a few sneaky peak photos before I start editing the whole wedding this week…..
First Wedding for me at Ashridge House and about time too (yay) as have longed to shoot here – can’t wait!!!! Roll on September…. It is simply glorious and the gardens are utterly divine…. Enjoying a rare selfie in today’s office………..
One of the best parts about being a photographer is spending a morning checking out a wedding venue for September 1st! I have actually longed to get a wedding here and this year finally I got a booking yay!!!!
To say Ashridge House is stunning would be an understatement – breathtaking, peaceful, stunning would be more apt. I spent about two hours here in utter heaven. Not a soul in sight. The building is beautiful inside and out. The staircase where the ceremony will be held is honestly amazing.. The light fantastic. I literally can’t wait for Katie & Daniel’s wedding in three months time.
Had four year old twins this weekend for a lovely little family shoot with their parents – lots of fun, and quick change backdrops as they were both so good. Mood changed at end as they heard a trip to Macdonalds was in order if they behaved! Nothing wrong with a little bribery…
